I mentioned in a few posts back how ‘life has a funny way of wrapping you up in its craziness – hence my lack of presence here in this little corner of the internet’. Annnddd, its happened again. In the midst of moving away, acclimating to this new-to-me, semi-adult life, and the hustle + bustle of classes, the Punctuated P has sadly taken a back burner the past couple of months. Due to all the chaos that seems to take over my life quite frequently, I’ve decided to give these type of posts a name – ‘Let’s Do Brunch’. So, every once in a while I’ll compose a lil ‘brunch post’ to give a quick run-down of my everyday life & a photo synopsis of what I’ve been up to lately! So…without further ado, let’s do brunch!
1. I moved to Gainesville and started my first semester at the University of Florida in mid August. For those of you that don’t know or are slightly baffled at my school situation, I’ll explain, and hopefully, clarify a bit! When I graduated high school, in 2016, I only had a small amount of college credits left until I was eligible to receive my two-year degree. Soooo, I decided to stay home the semester following high school graduation, complete my Associate of Arts degree, and apply to enter the University of Florida in Spring 2017. As mentioned previously here on the Punctuated P, I was admitted into UF for Spring 2017 as planned, but decided to postpone, take the Spring semester off, and enter Fall 2017. Here’s to UF Class of 2019!
2. I joined a sorority and found my forever home – Delta Delta Delta!
3. I signed a lease for an apartment for next August! This was my first big ‘adult’ thing, so it may or may not be kinda a big deal. Ha! I will be living with two of my best friends – Lauren and Hannah. Y’all, I CAN’T WAIT!!!
4. Annnddd after a slight change in plans, Alex is now pursuing his education and baseball career at the University of North Florida!! UNF is in Jacksonville, Florida, and I had never been to Jacksonville before going to visit him. SO. GORGEOUS. Since Jacksonville is only about an hour and a half from Gainesville, we try to go to the beach during any correlating (very rare) free weekends that we have. I’m missing baseball season though, and am counting down the days until I can finally be under the ballpark lights again!
A snap of my desk in my dorm!
DDD on Bid Day!! Ugh. SO. MUCH. LOVE!
Hannah & I during Homecoming Week at an Orlando Magic game!
I asked my brother, Greyson, to come up and be my date on my first date function!
Mom + Dot reveal! In Tri Delt we call our traditional ‘big’, ‘littles’, etc, Mom & Dot (Daughters of Tri Delt)! Here’s a snap of my Delta mom, Dani, gmom, Diana, and I on Mom + Dot Reveal!
Alex came down to experience a ‘Gator Gameday’!
Sydney, Kirsten, and I at an outer-space themed social!
Fun Fact: Lily was one of the very first people I met in Tri Delt!
Snoop Dog performed at UF for Homecoming Week! Thanks for the lift, Han!!!
Hannah & Mia – AKA two of my favorite people in the world.
Rose & I took a ‘day-cation’ to Jacksonville!
Alex loves DDD too!
A ‘live action’ photo of Alex committing to UNF. Probably one of my favorite pictures of him. 🙂
It was Halloween & Tori scored the lone goal to knock out the No. 1 seed during the SEC Tournament. Naturally, I took a picture ‘with her’ while she was doing her interview with ESPN after the game. Woo Pig!!!
My mom, brother, sister, and I drove to Orange Beach, Alabama, to watch Tori compete in the SEC Championship game! Whaaatttta star. 😉
Mammmmma Miiiiiaaaa!! Everyone needs a lil Mia in their life. 😉
Delta fam pics!
Time really does fly by when you’re having fun. It seems as though this semester has flown by and I couldn’t be more grateful for all of the incredible experiences, people, and opportunities that have been brought forth.
It’s so good to be back, y’all. I have a fun post going live tomorrow morning. Stay tuned!!
P.S. My little sister, Ella, recently broke her foot during a soccer game and will be going into surgery this morning to repair it. Please send all of your happy vibes + prayers her way! XOXOX.
